Blue-Berries 2013 - The way ahead
You, dear reader, may not be aware that Richard Higgins has annually for the past 20 years or so, produced a self-penned, self-performed, self-produced CD. If this is new to you, please go to his website, here, and buy them.
This is a prodigious output of splendid songs, all of which are highly recommended!
In 2013, which is the 50th anniversary of the beginnings of the Blue-Berries, he is writing a new opus which is titled ‘Welcome to the Here and Now’ and the booklet will feature contrasting 1965/2013 pictures of all of us, amongst other historical facts and information.
Although the album is not solely about The Blue-Berries, he has generously suggested that we (Paul S, Dave H and Richard G) contribute musically to one of the tracks. We are all very excited by this prospect, especially as no recordings of us all playing together have ever existed.
The details and logistics have yet to be agreed, but assuming they can be settled, 2013 will not only be our 50th anniversary, but also our first recording for posterity - and a brand new original ‘Higgisong’ to boot!
